Event Details

  • The first two light cruisers to go to War Thunder are the British HMS Enterprise and Italian Bartolomeo Colleoni. The British Emerald class unit develops a speed of 33 knots and is equipped with a decent 76.4mm armor to a company with seven 152mm main guns, anti-aircraft guns, machine guns, and torpedo tubes. Bartlomeo Colleoni is faster, speeds up to 37 knots. It also has a much thinner hull, only 24mm. Compensation is as many as eight 152mm main guns and six long-range guns 100mm. The Italian cruiser is doing much less well with aviation, but thanks to its maneuverability it avoids torpedoes much easier.

In War Thunder sea battles, light cruisers are initially placed far away from smaller enemy units, because even in the fight against two smaller destroyers they are doing extremely well. In small clashes, however, they are exposed to shells with anti-tank missiles and torpedoes that literally break their not-so-impressive armor. The strategic use of escorts in the form of destroyers will, however, allow light cruisers to use their combat potential and outweigh the scales of victory to their side https://www.lolga.com/war-thunder-golden-eagles .
